Odeley is an organization entirely focused on advancing quality medical care in rural Africa. From the beginning, we set out to provide communities in Africa with a unique healthcare experience – one marked by patient-centered care and high-quality service. In that spirit, Odeley endeavors to meet the medical needs of ordinary African people, including underserved populations in the most rural parts of the region.
ODELEY’s major accomplishments to date include the phased construction, staffing and operation of Odeley Medical, the operation of a mobile medical service for 1 years running, and an ambitious, in-house continuing medical education program designed to build local capacity. We aspire to build and strengthen ODELEY Medical and its providers to meet the most pressing medical needs of the next generation of families in Africa.
In Sub Saharan Africa, 22 million people live with HIV/AIDS, one child in five dies from malaria, one woman in sixteen dies during pregnancy or childbirth, and there are 750 thousand new cases of tuberculosis every year. Odeley's members are working to reduce HIV rates, protect mothers and children, provide medical supplies, and much more.
